Spooky had a recheck, to see how she's doing with her renal failure and blood pressure. She hasn't gained any weight, but more importantly, she hasn't lost any. Very good. I give her 150 ml of subQ fluids every night before work (along with her blood pressure meds), but she's still a bit dehydrated. It's a result of her being an old cat in renal failure, so it's a fine balance of keeping her hydrated enough without taxing her system. We're going to switch to a different phosphorus supplement, and hopefully that will help with her hard stools and hydration. If not, we may start her on lactulose.
I haven't heard back from my vet yet, but I get my lab work free through my job, so I have instant access to my animals' results right from my work station. Everything came back looking like an old cat in renal failure, but I'll wait on the vet's call to see what she wants our next step to be.
