Galerie Colbert Paris 2008

Rotunda of the Galerie Colbert (Colbert Galleria), Paris, 2nd arrondissement. Built in 1826 as a rival to the adjacent and then very popular Vivienne covered passage, it never was as succesful and was almost abandoned until renovation in the 1980s. Bought by French National Library, the galerie is now home to INHA (Institut National de l'Histoire des Arts, Art History National Institute) and INP (Institut National du Patrimoine, Heritage National Institute).
