St Kizito's Students
These images are part of a series of portraits taken of my students at the end of my service year ('13/'14) in the Youth Corp (NYSC), during which I taught Biology at a secondary school in Isanlu, Kogi State.
From that session, I made prints and gave them to each of my students as a souvenir of our year-long experience together.
During the session, I kept direction as little as possible and let the youngsters pose as they wish, alone and with each other.
For me, the images speak of cameraderie, dependency, love and an evolving sense of identity - all of which our society needs to be kept vibrant and progressive.
