Fried Oreos

When I first saw the sign for this American delicacy, the French part of me threw up a little. Why on earth would anyone do this?

 

The process is extremely simple. You only need flower, egg, oil and milk to make the coating mixture. Then, dunk your oreos in the mixture at deep fry them for a couple second. When they start bloating, they are ready. Top them with powder sugar, and you're in calorie heaven.

One thing I've always disliked about oreos is that they are hard inside and out. I generally prefer soft cookies. Well, these oreos are all about softness and the mixing of flavors. In fact, they were a little mushy. But delicious!

 

Personal Caution Note: It was so much sugar that I had problems falling asleep a couple hours later (and I usually fall asleep within 1-2 minutes of laying in bed).
