Over the past few weeks I’ve challenged myself to see how many small starfighters I could build before BFVA 2019. This model started off as another fighter, but evolved into a muscle car after my efforts to add a canopy over the top only succeeded in ruining the lines. Although the model is small, I spent about 30 hours building it, mostly over the course of two marathon building sessions last weekend. I finished it during the week as a few Bricklink orders trickled in. I owe the large amount of building time to difficulty finding a design that I liked for the front intakes--I started over on those twice--and the back, which is a SNOT nightmare.

The backdrop is a NASA photo of Mars, to which I added a bit of horizontal motion blur and some dust clouds.
