Striped Antenna Technique
This is my attempt to show how I made the striped antenna on my current project. The trick is that the rods are all entirely red, with white Technic half pins covering the red on the parts that need to be white. The rods are mostly 4L lightsaber blades, joined inside the robot arm pieces or the half pins. The joints don't always wind up in convenient places, but with three rods it can tolerate at least one flimsy connection. It holds together quite well.
Some of these parts are rare in their respective colors, but it doesn't take that many of them.
