Judy Gets a Groom
Judy is a resident at Ol Pejeta Conservancy's Sweetwaters Chimpanzee Sanctuary, which serves as a haven for chimps who have suffered at the hands of humans. Usually chimps are confiscated from the pet trade or saved from the bushmeat market. Judy was confiscated while being transported illegally in Mombasa. She suffered polio as a youngster and as a result walks with a limp. Here she enjoys some grooming from a friend. It's amazing how similar to use these animals are, something which is apparent once you spend just a little time observing them.
