Multi Segment Metering

I have made 8 photographic test charts. All the charts are 50% black and 50% white. If you want to test how your camera is performing Multi Segment metering (Evaluative - or Matrix metering) you can use these 8 charts. Please remember NOT to link AE (Auto Exposure) AF (Auto Focus). You can meter off a computer screen. No need for printing the charts. If your camera simply is performing an average metering – weighing all segments equally - you should get the same or very similar readings from all 8 charts. My own Pentax K-1 camera did show almost the same reading - F4.5 1/80s ISO800 - for all charts. In one incident I had a 2/3 stop deviation. This may be caused by a coincident due the placement of the metering points relative to how the white rectangles are located. The charts are made in Adobe Illustrator 2022.
