10 Shot panorama with 24mm lens on full frame

I tried to figure out how much "overlap" there is when shooting a 10-shot panorama, using the Manfrotto 303 Panorama Head and its click stop settings. The need for the amount of overlap depends on how detailed the subjcet is. Subjects with many details, which your software can use for matching the frames requires less overlap. Even the quality of the lens is important, because lens distortion may complicate matching the frames correctly. Please note that calibrating the panorama head/finding nodal point accurately is very important when using af wide angle lens for stitched panoramas. For some subjects 10 shots will not be enough for the software to generate control points enough for at successful panorama.
