Testing Godox V860II vs. Pentax flashes + Cactus V6ii tranceivers. All set to Manual power. Image number 4 seems to be too bright in both tests. I don't know why... On a bright day like today, a fill flash is not really necessary. Just be certain you don't use too much flash light. The flash should only brighten natural shadows as well as provide catch lights in the eyes. Anyway - the old rule of thumb - "Set fill light to half the power of the key light" - doesn't seem quite unreasonable. PS: I set the Key light zoom to match the flash distance to subject. The fill light to less. This way the fill light will not cause too hard shadows. I have plastic cup diffusers on both flashes.
