Spiritual Union | 1940

A group of teenagers humming spirituals at an UCPAPWA (United Cannery, Agricultural, Packing, and Allied Workers of America) union meeting in Bristow, Oklahoma. These gatherings were at the time considered major social events, often taking on all of the trappings of old time revival meetings. Spirituals routinely vied with the union songs for popularity.
