I just cannot bring myself to purchase those cheesy Scooby Do or Sponge Bob valentines. So ever since preschool my son and i make them. Last yesr for his second grade classmates, we made these
Ben adores using my sewing machine..so he did the decorative stitching along the edge of cardstock and I sewed on the hearts cut from thrift store felted sweaters. Inside we used hand carved stamps to make the inscription: BEE ( a drawing of a bee) M- drawing of an eye HEART. The girls loved them, the boys....well, perhaps they would have preferred a sponge bob one! I think this year my son is gong to put his foot down about handmade valentines. Oh well.....
