I had just finished embroidering my boyfriend's Valentine's card when I read about your contest. I love embroidering and most of the gifts I give are embroidered in some way. This was my first attempt at embroidering card stock and I really like how it turned out.

 

I traced a heart on to a (clearance) blank red card and wrote our initials inside. Then, I punched holes along the lines with a large needle (larger than my embroidering needle). And I simply backstitched in light pink, dark purple and dark hot pink.

 

I like to say "I embroidered my love into it" about all the gifts I do for people, because I'm thinking about all the reasons I love them when I'm embroidering.

 

Now I just need a sweet note inside and it's done. Then, on to everyone else's.
