blue heron and geese

This is from about 40 feet away - as close as I dared to get and not spook him. He had just landed in a fairly busy area of the forest preserve (people fishing, a cub scout troop, etc.), looked around for a few seconds, decided that the photo opp was over, and took off back to his usual more secluded territory.
