Short Song Snippet
Most tui that visit our place have some individual components to their songs...some much more than others. While some have a song that I often hear repeated...perhaps a local dialect or family song. I call this Tui Nee Naw...for reasons that may become obvious. Also in this short snippet is bellbird song (close and loud), the sound of a tui arriving (wings) and silvereyes (high pitched calls in the background). At the end another tui mimics this tui's last phrase - probably the tui we heard fly into the tree.
