1925.04.01 - The Echo Continental
Echo Continental was a customer and company magazine published in Hanover, Germany, by the tire and rubber goods manufacturer Continental AG. It lasted from January 1913 to April 1941.
On April 1, 1925, the magazine ran a feature about a new "ABC mono-cycle". Put simply, “Motorcycles for men, unicycles for women!”
This feature essentially served as a plug for the company's "Continental-Kraftradreifen" tires — thus making it one of the earliest examples of a spoof April Fool ad 😊.
