PERHAPS the ‘grip of winter’ is loosening. For the next few days, here at least: no significant snowfall forecast, mostly cloud cover, daytime temperatures reaching +5C, and already some visible signs of thaw.
Even those of us who welcome a rare helping of seasonal beauty can eventually hanker for more comfortable temperatures, easier surfaces to walk on and successful windscreen washing on the motorway!
