RNLI Lytham St Annes Lifeboat & Crew

Inshore inflatable D class lifeboat MOAM has her own boathouse at Central Beach.

With a crew of three, the MOAMis restricted by weather conditions and crew constraints but her shallow draft and fast response time make her an ideal life saving vessel for the Ribble Estuary. She is either launched by manpower from Lytham jetty or by Land Rover at various sites depending on the tide and the casualty s location.

This lifeboat is capable of 25 knots (28.8 mph) and are ready 24 hours a day, 7 days a week with their Volunteer crews to respond to any life threatening incident at sea.

The RNLI is the charity that saves lives at sea.
