Camogli, Liguria. There was some clouds cover sky above the hills, but it made for subtle yet dramatic evening light. I had waited until quite late and used a long exposure to give the dreamy feel to the moving sea water. These colorful tones on the wall of houses was majestic, from slate gray and coral pink to green yellow and dark orange! I like so much the clothes hanging on the wall church and the imposing marine fortress hidden behind fishermen jetty, near houses overlooking the fantastic Ligurian sea.
I stayed on the sea promenade, near an ice cream parlour. Put my reflex upon a concrete balustrade and set a very opened diaphragm aperture because the place is not so illuminated, choosing f/4.5. For to make the surface of the sea very nuanced I chosen to impose an exposure time of 15 seconds the first time, but the result was not good: the picture appeared quite overexposed. Last time I set 13 seconds with 400 ISO for to have a good signal-noise rate, a good compromise I thought. And the result appears here, before your eyes.
Reflex: Nikon D3100 - Lens: Nikkor 55-300mm f/4.5-5.6G ED VR - No filters used
Focal length: 55 mm - Diaphragm aperture: f/4.5 - Exposure time: 13 sec - ISO sensitivity: 400
