Deliberately going for the flash-lit look with a darker background.

 

Shot in open shade on a bright sunny day. Manual exposure set approx -1 stop for the ambient light, with the flash handheld camera left, using ETTL with approx -1 stop FEC dialed in (I think...) and probably using a Stofen.

 

Must have held the flash a little high as there is a shadow from the hat which I cant quite explain?
