BigFuzzy
Reflected silhouette
This may end up being one of my signature (and favorite) photos. It was taken to enter into a year long competition and was entered under that month's category of "Silhouettes". Many thought this was photoshopped but it wasn't (nothing to do with the fact that I was a PS dunce at that time!".
If you look closely (on a higher quality version) you can see that the body of the person in my eye is barely covering the body of the camera (in fact the bump on the right -his left- is actually the built in flash) which is on a tripod in front of my eye. It's why is hands/arms are so far from his body, so that you can see them because he's quite thin! His legs are concealing the tripod just barely.
Strobist: He stood about 10 feet away and I shot this with my 20d with a 50mm EF 1.8 lens. Flash fired into a whiteboard placed on the right of my head and there was another reflector to the left of my head to fill in shadows and give my skin some texture. Oh, and the big window in front of me (behind my friend) clearly helped in lighting this shot.. but was more relevant to silhouetting.
