Mama Gets a Checkup

Genny C. was getting a checkup at the Seneca Park zoo. The zoo says they are "Hopefully optimistic" for the baby's safe birth.

Genny C. is New York state’s first, and North America’s eleventh, African elephant to conceive after artificial insemination, so she’s making history here.

 

update: Sadly, Genny C's calf died in childbirth. :-(
