Cooling Down
It has finally cooled down and we had are first good night's sleep for quite a while. 25 degrees at night is no joke without air conditioning. We spent the really hot days indoors with the curtains closed but yesterday we went out for a walk along the coast. It was cloudy and their was a strong breeze - absolute bliss. We also checked the Forest out. Most of the small watering spots have dried up and the heathlands are completely dry and yellow. However, the ponies tend to go into the woods in bad weather (extreme heat or extreme cold) and also the larger pools and ponds did have water. Also good commoners (the people who graze their animals on the land) bring out hay to their animals in bad weather. It is terrifying to see the people who lost their houses due to fires here and in Europe.
