zenman3 says: I chose this because not only has Alan caught the beauty and majesty of this golden eagle as a superb portrait but he has taken it to the next level of creativity with his fractal treatment. The Glow created by this medium is superb as is the pin sharp focus on that piercing gaze. I met Alan on Photo Answers web site several years ago and found him to be a great help with my queries about lenses and photography techniques. He has many beautiful sets of images and his pet set is a joy to view.He is extremely creative in his PS work and pushes the envelope in HDR,Fractalus, B&W you name it. He has a great eye for composition and light. His work is always interesting, versatile and very creative. Alan is a passionate photographer and a super nice person. Thank you Alan. Love your work.

zenman3 says: I love this superb capture because it shows the magnificent streamlined body and powerful wings of the gannet in the same flight shot as the gull in lovely detail with great exposure, composition and DOF. John is a very talented photographer and very passionate about the fate of the Rhinoceros and it's continuous unnessessary slaughter in the wild. As you can see by his Avatar. Good luck in getting the save the rhino message out there John.

zenman3 says: I chose this phenomenal water droplet with refraction image with much difficulty, because Brian has an enormous library of equally brilliant shots of this nature. I liked the fact that this one not only has the gorgeous rose refractions but the little springtail stepping between the mine field of droplets adds a little extra interest to the image. Brian is probably one of the best known masters of macro photography on flickr. His technique is flawless and consistently perfect. He is very prolific in his posting but has always found time to give me sound advice on equipment and macro techniques. I am very happy to be one of his contacts after several months of following his work. Your work is in a class of it's own Brian.

zenman3 says: Philip caught the explosive moment of the kingfisher leaving the water at exactly the right point in time and space. The flying water droplets, the presision focus on the eye the lovley bokeh and the superb lighting all come together to make a great image. Phillip has been a contact of mine since my first month on Flickr and has been a staunch supporter of my work and a regular commenter. He has a wonderful dry sense of humour and a passion for his art.

zenman3 says: I chose ths image because of the beautiful bokeh, the subtle light on the fern leaf, the composition and the DOF which are all masterfully executed and expertly framed for a striking presentation. I have known Izzy for just a few short months as one of my contacts on this site but long enough to know that she is extremely gifted in many mediums of photography from landscapes, to macro to wild life and much much more. She has a great comradeship with fellow photographers on Flickr and a fun loving personality. Thank you for being a friend and regular supporter of my work Izzy. All the best to you. Alan

zenman3 says: The technical skill and attention to details that Ania puts into each and every shot is amazing. You would swear that her animal shots were taken in the wild. They all have stunning colour, details and focus. Beautifully composed in breath taking clarity. Ania is an extemely acomplished photographer and knows how to make her images stand out above the crowd. I had much difficulty choosing a favourite of favourites here but the look in this rare and beautiful cat just melted my heart. Thank you for being a good friend and supporter of my photography Ania.

zenman3 says: I love the light and the tones in this stunning image. The subtle details are sublime and DOF perfect. Presentation immaculate. Ruth has a lovely collection of the most beautifully presented images on flickr. She treats each shot as a work of art and goes to great lengths to present them in the nicest of frames and borders. Ruth is a very talented photographer and her work is consistently commendable. Many of her shots have made explore. Ruth is nearly always one of the first fellow photographers on this site to comment on my images soon after I have posted them. She is a very warm and friendly character with many friends on flickr. Thank you for your wonderful support and friendship Ruth.

zenman3 says: I really like the artistic treatment to this image. The lovely textured back ground, the composition and the beautiful subtle details and colours in the butterfly. Great angle of view and a superbly balanced image. Bob has an eye for abstract composition and goes the extra mile to add interest to his images. I like his recent creativity, using textures and blending methods etc, giving the ordinary and extraordinarily lovely make over. I have watched his skills develop over the last few months and know he is capable of great things. Thank you Bob for being a good supporter and friend on flickr.

zenman3 says: I love the details in the wings, showing the subtle differences between the male and the females colouration. The back light is lovely and well controlled. The image has a nicely balanced composition with strong diagonals and excellent focus and colour saturation. Kevin is a well accomplished wild life and macro photographer, with many many magazine worthy images that any professional would be proud of. Thank you Kevin for your visits and support over the last few months.

zenman3 says: The timing, the selective focus and the details are amazing in this macro shot. Like some fancy sports car with gull wing doors. The level of detail in the wings is fabulous, the textures in the rocks wonderful, love this image. I love Paulines attitude to the world of macro photography, she aproaches it with a zeal and enthusiasm that it wonderful to be a part of. I enjoy her descriptions of many of the insects like "Beetle Thingy" for instance. She is a brilliant macro photographer and her pashion shines through her work. Keep up your keen interest and love of photography Pauline and I am happy to be one of your contacts on flickr.

zenman3 says: When I first saw this shot I immediately thought of the ugly sisters in the Cinderella story. Even so these chicks are very charming and Bill has captured something quite special here. The details are excellent and the expressions in their eyes is priceless. I like Bill's work a lot, he has a fine variety of superb images in his photostream. I look forward to his postings and know there will always be something of top quality to look at and enjoy. Thank you for your continued support Bill and keep on clicking.

zenman3 says: When I first saw this image my comment was that I thought it was a work of art. The almost monotone aspect of the image and high key lighting is superb. I love the subtle reflections and the sleek outlines of these icons of the wild lakes and ponds of the North country. Mark is a brilliant wild life photographer and his work could grace the covers and contents of the most sought after books on nature. Thank you for your continued support of my work Mark.

zenman3 says: I was blown away by this simple looking subject by the amazing detail in those tiny eyes and the veins and cells in the leaf magnified by the water dropets. As per my original comments on this shot, you really get a sense of what it is like in the world of insects from their perspectiv in this image. A droplet of water to us is a huge puddle or pond to them. Murray is a recent contact of mine but has already given me lots of tips and advice on macro photography in his own time. I appreciate help from class photographers like Murray and many of my friends on Flickr. Murray has an astounding port folio of macro work among many other types of photography and his photostream is well worth a visit as are all of my contacts featured in this set.
