Tragedy at the Lake Front
We were hanging out at a friends, daughters birthday at the beach, when someone was like, “look at this!”. I pulled out my macro lens and took some shots. What you see here is a horse fly (Tabanus Linnaeus)/deer fly (Chrysops Meigen) eating on a house fly (Musca domestica). It was grotesque, but it did present a great opportunity to get up close without the subject taking off.
