Snakes in the Ike Tree
The Ike tree is a dead tree beside Creekfield Lake in Brazos Bend State Park. Hurricane Ike blew it down in 2008, and the park has allowed it to sit pretty much undisturbed since then to show what happens to such things in nature. They decay and provide homes to small animals such as these water snakes. Someone told me they saw a third snake behind these two, but I never saw it.
