Enlisted Men's Barracks

Among the restored buildings at the Fort Davis National Historic Site is this enlisted man's barracks. Here one can see the conditions in which the enlisted men lived. A soldier on the frontier didn't get much privacy.

On the bunk at the bottom left, one can see parts of a dress uniform, including a helmet with an inlaid brass eagle.
