Gate to Enchanted Rock
When driving from Fredericksburg to Enchanted Rock, you go over a hill to see an immense expanse of pink granite. I was not prepared for its size, which is the second largest batholith in North America, after Stone Mountain in Georgia. This is the sign to the entrance of the state natural area.
