1916 Packard Funeral Bus
This was an effort to reduce the size of funeral processions in the early 20th century. It had room to carry six pallbearers, twenty mourners, a coffin, and flowers. It had a four-cylinder engine that was capable of propelling it up to fifteen miles per hour, which was sufficient for a time when a lot of people still got around by horse and buggy.
This is on display at the National Museum of Funeral History in Houston, Texas.
