Lone Pine is on the edge of the Alabama Hills and the Eastern Sierra Nevada mountain range. Many movies were filmed in the area, mostly westerns from the 1930s to the 1950s, but a few more contemporary movies as well, including the original Star Wars, Iron Man, and a few others. This museum contains exhibits and artifacts from many of those movies.
