The Doolittle Raiders flew North American B-25B medium bombers in the first U.S. bombing raid on Japan in early 1942. The B-25B actually was not considered ready for service and was quickly replaced by improved models, finally culminating in the B-25J. This B-25J came off the assembly line at the end of World War II and is the official B-25 of the Doolittle Raiders Association. It is in the Lone Star Flight Museum in Houston, Texas.
