Autry Car

A Buick, probably about a 1939 or 1940 vintage, used in the filming of a Gene Autry movie near Lone Pine, California. Note how Autry's horse, Champion, gets second billing in the movie posters in the background.

This is in the Western Movie Museum in Lone Pine, California. Many old-time western movies, mostly from the early 1930s to the mid 1950s, were shot in the Alabama Hills, which are just to the west of Lone Pine, which accounts for the presence of the museum in the town.

Observant viewers may notice some Roy Rogers movie posters on the right side of the image.
