One foot (0.3 m) long alligator at water's edge in 40 Acre Lake in Brazos Bend State Park

 

Gators this size are close to one year old. Given that all alligators hatch around the same time of year, i.e., within about two weeks of 1 September, this one is about a year and three months old.
