Zabriskie Morning

Morning at Zabriskie Point in Death Valley National Park

 

The coloration of the land seen here is very common in this area of the park. Before it became a national park there was a fairly robust mining industry here, owing to all the minerals present in the ground, including gold, silver, and copper.
