Littlefield Fountain After Dark
The Littlefield Fountain is on the campus of the University of Texas at Austin and is a memorial to students and alumni who died in World War I. Designed and built by Pompeo Coppini, who did many such sculptures around Texas, it was finished and went into operation in 1933. It bears the name of George Littlefield, who donated $250,000 for its construction in the 1920s (equivalent to several million dollars today) and served on the university's board of regents.
