Thud's Mother

During the Vietnam War the Republic F-105 was nicknamed 'the Thud' because it was rather vulnerable to antiaircraft fire. The Thud was a direct descendent of this plane, the Republic F-84F. This particular F-84 is on a display stand in front of an American Legion hall near Ellington Field in Houston, TX. I applied some HDR toning to this because it's otherwise a pretty boring picture.
