Easy 8

Based on its official designation of M4A3E8, American tankers called this the Easy 8. It was the ultimate development of the M4 Sherman tank and, though the Easy 8 saw action in World War II, its most heavy use came in the Korean War. The most obvious difference between it and earlier Shermans is the suspension system, as it uses what the Army called a horizontal volute system vs. earlier Shermans' use of a vertical volute system.

This is at the 1st Cavalry Division museum on site at Fort Cavazos, Texas.
