White Pocket Panorama

To the old time ranchers in the Arizona Strip, a pocket was a place where water collected. This area, located in Vermilion Cliffs National Monument, is called White Pocket, I suppose for the white rocks that make up a large part of it. It seems to me it could as easily be called Pink Pocket, as it seems to have as much pink rock as white. In any case, it is a true geological oddity.
