Impaled
Anhinga in Elm Lake in Brazos Bend State Park. These birds swim under water in pursuit of fish and frequently spear them on their beaks. I have seen them have trouble removing them from their beaks, and doing things like slamming them down on floating logs to try to shake them loose. It could be somewhat comical, if not for the fact that if they don't get the fish off their beaks, they can't eat. This one didn't seem to have any trouble, though, as it soon made a meal of this fish.
