Why They Call It Golden Canyon

Golden Canyon provides one of the most popular day hikes in Death Valley National Park, with at least one ranger-led hike a day. It begins at a parking lot on the road from the visitor center at Furnace Creek to Badwater Basin, the lowest point in North America.
