A lineup of various birds perched on some pilings in Smithers Lake. Smithers Lake provides cooling water for the W.A. Parrish electric generating plant. WAP has four coal-fired and four natural gas generators, which give WAP the biggest generating capacity of any power plant in the U.S. The heated water contributes to some foggy mornings around the lake.
