This is a very different view of Dunwich and while it is an industrial image I still like it.
The town of Dunwich services the sand mining industry; it is the major thoroughfare for transport vehicles, and is used as a port for the loading and unloading of mineral sands for the mines. It is the island's commercial and industrial district.

Dunwich is the fist port of call on a visit to North Stradbroke Island just off the coast of Brisbane. You can only reach the island by taking a relaxing 45 minute trip by vehicular ferrry.
