Like looking for a needle
in a pine needle stack!
This guy has been in my yard three times now in the last week. I'm wondering if he sees my little Goldie duck as a possible meal.
She's pretty smart though. She has seen him fly over a couple times and she usually goes inside her pen and gets in her swimming pool where she knows he can't get her.
Yesterday, he was almost all the way up in the top of one of the pine trees in the back of my house. He stayed in this spot for 30-45 minutes. I had my camera and was hoping he'd fly off but when he did, he went in the direction down and away from me so no chance for a good take off shot darn it.
And I waited so long for it, too. Awww, sometimes you win, sometimes you don't. Still a real thrill to see a bald eagle in my yard. It's not an everyday occurrence.
This was hand held and cropped a lot. I thought it came out pretty good considering.
