Benjamin Fabian
Bolitophagus reticulatus (Linnaeus, 1767)
During our Alps trip we found dead fruitbodies of Fomes fomentarius that were completely covered with these beetles. They are an endangered species but apparently in this region the population was very healthy. From what I've read they also currently spread.
They were also copulating like crazy (pictures in the comments, click to enlarge). I would've liked to get a proper stack of them, but unfortunately they were constantly moving around.
