Sky Walking

High above the clouds, two alpinists traverse the summit arete on the Weissmies.

 

The scale of things is often deceptive in the alps. Peaks look small until you see a string of ant-like climbers apparently stationary, travelling on the glacier below. These two climbers were with us within minutes, but at this point remained dwarfed by their surroundings.

 

There'll probably be some more shots from Chamonix to come later on but I couldn't hold back on a couple of the shots taken while climbing.
