Traditional Tanzanian Cuisine - Local Lunch, Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania

We spent one night in the traditional village of Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania. Mto wa Mbu is the gateway to Lake Manyara National Park. According to online research, Mto wa Mbu is one of the few places in Tanzania where you can find people from all 120 tribes living in harmony together. The name of the town means Mosquito River. As part of our G Adventures tour, we had a guided tour of the town to learn about its culture, people, agriculture, arts, customs, and food.

After visiting the town, we got the chance to have a local home made Tanzanian meal prepared by a local woman. The food was delicious, and there were many different dishes to choose from! It surely was a good experience of

our tour of Mto wa Mbu, Tanzania.
