The Albemarle Music Centre a £3m purpose-built facility, which opened as part of the St Stephen's development in 2007. Built on three floors, it has more than 600 young musicians visiting each week.

The centre has two large rehearsal spaces and teaching rooms for the 16 Hull music ensembles. The centre also provides office and rehearsal rooms for the Hull Philharmonic Orchestra and the Yorkshire Young Musicians.

The main hall serves as a performance venue that is large enough to accommodate a full-size symphony orchestra. It has retractable raked seating (electronically operated) holding 192 people and a further 110 audience chairs are available when the stage alone is being used for a performance.
