Rio del Malpaga a canal in Dorsoduro one of the six sestieri of Venice in Veneto, Italy.
It has a length of about 430 meters and connects the rio dell'Avogaria in an east-northeast direction with the Grand Canal.
The canal is named after the Palazzo Michiel di Malpaga which was built in the 15th century by Fantino Michiel, nicknamed Malpaga. It is said that his nickname came from the fact that he took a title from the wages of his soldiers to pay for the Galioto castle near Ragusa in 1425, after having made peace with Murad I.
