2023-9-214 Cooper's Hawk (juvenile) in the Reader's Rock Garden

I've never been quite so close to a raptor in the wild. But I think this one is quite accustomed to us humans visiting one of its haunts in downtown Calgary, our premier outdoor public garden. It was just above the artificial stream they have there, so I don't know if it was seeing prey move about in the area, or waiting for us to leave so it could drink.
