Grotto Creek Trail - Anklebiter Ridge Hike - View south from the ridge

The wind was up, and so we decided to do a canyon walk just outside of Exshaw, Alberta. Grotto Canyon is a beautiful place in itself, but it is also home to ancient pictographs made by the local Aboriginal people. Climbers use the canyon walls to practise their technique. After finishing with the canyon, we followed a trail up a ridge we later discovered is called Anklebiter Ridge - we haven't discovered the origins of the name yet, but we're sure there's a storey there somewhere. Enjoy!
